Michael Ross is a physician who is board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry as well as adult psychiatry. Michael believes in a humanistic approach to medicine. He incorporates evidence-based research into his clinical practice while at the same time creating an individualized treatment plan for each patient. He enjoys working with adolescents and their families through combined medication management and psychotherapy approaches. Michael spent much of his fellowship training program working at a children’s advocacy center and learning about the intricacies of treating complicated trauma. He has worked extensively with the LGBTQ+ population and has special areas of interest in managing autism and obsessive-compulsive disorder. He graduated from his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor (Go Wolverines!) and then went on to attend medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He attended Dell Medical School in Austin, TX for both his adult psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship programs. In his spare time, he enjoys writing, spending time with his dog who is a greyhound/ lab mix, and going hiking.
